So for those who read my post about Killzone 3, this is the same deal, but with Dead Space 2. Dead Space is such a detailed world that, in my opinion, sets the bar for future survival horrors. As some of you know, I am not much of a horror enthusiast. Thus, Dead Space is something truly unique. I will have two trailers for you to enjoy attached, so enjoy! But before that, let's re-cap on Dead Space before traveling into some Dead Space 2 thoughts and impressions.
This is the first survival horror game I have ever been obsessed with, and honestly it will probably be the only one. Dead Space sets up the absolute perfect experience, and it is the one of the most polished environments ever thought up. That very fact already sets up gamers for one of the most eerie and terrifyingly creepy adventures we can embark on. Throughout the entire game you spend 99% of it completely alone walking down dark, bloody hallways listening to whispers of doom and cries for help, all the while wondering when your next enemy will pounce. Each enemy offers a creepy foe to tangle with, and with many of them you will literally become entangled by some form of proboscis or mutated fleshy protrusion. From adults, to babies, to morphed yelling men hanging from walls, you will resort back to pull-ups training pants. Did I mention that the soundtrack is amazing? Well, it is. Many of these traits are in survival games, but Dead Space is the only horror game that has each one perfected as an individual aspect, and then they are all wrapped up in a deep space hell hole. Dead Space is one of those games that many of your friends won't play, and when you're done playing it, you feel a fraction of psychological damage. This is a new level of horror that might not make you scream or freak out like many, but it will cause the most brain damage. Basically, combine the intense adrenaline from Heavy Rain, and dump that into a bloody bucket of " I will never turn off the lights or let go of teddy". If you have not played this, why are you reading!?! You should be out buying and now playing this game!!!
If you have not yet beat Dead Space and you would rather not ruin the ending, stop HERE!!! Let the spoiling begin!!!!!!!

Alright, so Dead Space 2!!!!! Out of the many titles I cannot wait for, Dead Space 2 is in my top 5.
The original Dead Space leaves Isaac Clarke departing the planet's surface after returning the marker, watching Kendra die, and having a stand off with the biggest necromorph ever. As he flies happily away in a cute little ship, he is reminded of his deceased wife. By now Isaac is beyond any mental repair and he probably should just kill himself, but so was I when I beat the game. Suddenly, his wife grabs at him!!! Guess what!?! She is a lovely necromorph! Well my prediction for the sequel is Isaac tries to contain his wife in order to find some sort of cure or repellent or necromorphicide by testing her DNA. Well, things go wrong; the illness spreads. And now we have Dead Space 2. Various trailers suggest otherwise, but I like my idea. You also hear a man saying " Isaac, we are all going to burn for what we did to you...". Lol what? Instead of ranting about what I think and what I know, here is what I ask. Send an e-mail to theretailgamer@gmail.com or write a comment to us explaining what you think this could mean, or who you think says it. We would really love to get some feedback and see some reader involvement on the site.
