So the Groovy fun begins.
The game is pretty much the same as the original version, but it has been given a few tweaks - the health bar has been changed (for the better), and some sounds have been altered. The gameplay was fun and strange as usual, but that's not to say it wasn't exceptionally frustrating. It has an online multiplayer where everyone races in Andy's Asteroids, but it's not really all that fun. The campaign was worth the 9.99$ on the psn, but I would only suggest this to those who loved Earthworm Jim back in its prime. If you like Jim and are unsure if you want to relive that craziness, just try the trial version. The best thing about this game is the ridiculous gameplay, and the fact that you only notice how ridiculous it is once you walk away from the console. For example, Jim travels down into Hell (for no reason) and you end up having to kill the nine lives of an evil, flying demon kitten that has a laser rifle. Or destroying obese junkyard workers who ride crane claws while spitting fish at you. Cats seem to be cool enemies, so you end up fighting supercats under water. In order to fend off some of these megakitties, you ride a giant hamster that eats them. I bought it mainly because it has been a source of inside jokes that I share with some friends, and I wanted to make sure Peter Puppy got home safe. If all that sounds like something worth paying nine dollars and nighty-nine cents for about two hours of gameplay, then go for it... I did.
